Columbus artist Megan Mosholder has just built an amazing installation called “Gossamer” at Hilton Head. She is in the running for possible prize money for this gorgeous piece created out of 15,000 feet of nylon cord that was hand painted with blue glow-in-the-dark paint and installed with 2000 screw eyes. Her mother, Nancy and good friends, Lauren and Adam helped her build the piece along with several students from the local high school. Please go to the attached link and vote for her!
Mosholder considers her installations to be three-dimensional drawings or indirect paintings that not only point to line, color, and spatial composition, but also respond to the site itself, its architectural forms and its utilitarian history.
