Lots going on again on what looks to be a gorgeous fall weekend!riverfront

When I first wrote this, I totally forgot about the Rock the River: Riverfront Arts Festival at Genoa Park so am updating today.  Yesterday there was all kinds of cool stuff and music, today there is a Wine Stroll with Cupcake Vineyards; the final Waterfire ( damn, I never got to see this:(  ) and The Britisn Invasion and more live music and tomorrow is Bring Your Pets day (may just make that one!) with music all day on the stage.  All weekend there will be art, food and drink!

 Chalk on the Block returns to Easton with lots of artists and music!  Come out both days to see how creative folks can be with chalk!

chalk the block the Block is a two day event featuring artists decorating the Town Square at Easton Town Center with unique and colorful temporary artworks.Saturday’s main event will feature all artists working to create 6′ or 10′ designs while listening to the music of a half dozen musical acts. A featured space will allow an interactive component where the audience will be asked to participate in the creation of a community drawing.Sunday, the audience is invited back to see the finished products and see who was awarded.Awards
Awards will be given out in several categories.Best of Show – $500
Most Realistic – $250
Most Imaginative – $250
People’s Choice Award – $250 (determined by public vote)

In addition, The Columbus Museum of Art is hosting their 20th Century Design Market again this weekend starting today.  Teresa Morbitzer of Vintage Vamp (previously featured on my blog!) is one of many who will be selling their wares at this unique event.



The  20th Century Design Market, September 27, 28, & 29 is an entire weekend devoted to mid-century design and rare vintage finds to buy. Think Mad Men, Eames, Herman Miller. Whether your mid-century search starts on eBay, at the flea, or at Christie’s, your next stop should be here. Weekend passes available for only $10.

Tonight: Preview shopping and cocktail party- come dressed as your fav Mad Men characters and enjoy retro cocktails and tasty bites while you shop from 6-9 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: Market open from 10 am to 5 pm Shop for the best of mid-century design.
