This snow is seriously getting me down and the frigid temps don’t help! To try to ward off overwhelming need for color, I am gonna try to make it out to some of these great art filled events this weekend…even if I freeze walking to them!
In Delaware:Join us on Saturday, February 8 at the City Art Center for the opening reception for our exhibit “Blind Date”. The exhibit is a series of original photographs inspired by the 50’s and 60’s Film Noir movement. Shot at the historic Strand Theatre and old Delaware County Jail, the series follows the arc of a blind date from the innocent beginning to the dark conclusion.

|The Alternative Fashion Mob) are ready to kick off 2014 with their first event of the year…Please join the AFM at Camelot Cellars for the second annual Simply ArtRageous Art Sale & Mixer! coordinated by Rachel Murdock just featured on my blog! This event will be open to the public and will not only feature local art, but will also allow folks to mingle and learn more about Alternative Fashion Mob and their BIG plans for Alternative Fashion Week 2014! Columbus’ creative community has donated pieces of art for this event. Last year, the AFM was able to raise over $1000 for Alternative Fashion Week 2013! WOOT! The AFM encourages participants to not only view the amazing works, but to take home a piece of local art on SAturday! All art will be reasonably priced and the sale of all artwork will directly benefit Alternative Fashion Week 2014 and The Columbus Fashion Incubator. The goal of the Incubator is to (eventually) provide retail and studio space, marketing and business resources, opportunities, and connections for up-and-coming local designers. Great Art. Great wine. Great people! Fund Alternative Fashion Week 2014. Bam!|
