Even though it is supposed to continue to be cloudy and cool this weekend, that won’t keep the art and artists from getting their art on in our Capital City! There are TONS of places to see and buy art this weekend…Check’em out!
Rain or shine the Eco-Chic Craftacular will be happening on Saturday, May 3rd, 10-5 at Whetstone Recreation Center in Clintonville.
Food, music and lots of vendors/artists selling items made from repurposed/upcycled/recycled materials will be featured once again at this lively event. Check out their FB page and website for more info.
The next social mixer is this Sunday, May 4th from 4 pm to 6 pm. The mixer is being held at the Ohio Village, located at the Ohio Historical Center. There will be tours of the grounds, so that the artists can see the exhibition spaces for the Ohio Made Arts Festival, several art groups tabling up, and plenty of mingling. Art groups from around the city will be there to strut their stuff! The groups that already have reserved tables are. The Ohio Art League, The Columbus Idea Foundry, The Columbus Cultural Art Center, Wild Goose Creative, The BuildMore Workshop, Underground 64, The Ohio Historical Society and more!! Looking forward to seeing old and new members there!! And a cash bar and The Good Frank Food Truck will be there!
Walter Herrmann will have an opening reception at Image Optical from 6-9 at Image Optical in Short North during the Gallery Hop this Saturday, May 3rd. Come check out his unique perspective featuring a variety of media!
In this body of work you will see a variety of 2-D and 3-D mixed media work that attempts to depict a 1950’s Sci- Fi look, while holding the essence of today.
The reception is held at Image Optical at 607 N. High St.

Krista Kitty celebrates her founding of the burlesque troupe, The Ooh-La-Las at Dick’s Den.
April 2004 was her first show.
Featuring performances by former members of the troupe and The Columbus Burlesque Collective.

Wild Goose Creative is proud to be hosting Pinchflat IV. Come enjoy music, food from Hungry Monkey Food Truck, and browse local craft vendors, while we showcase the art and bikes. There will be two raffles; one for a bike and another comprised of local donations.
Pinchflat, which started as a fusion of bike and art concepts, has grown into a gallery showcase that is travelling through Columbus this summer. Bicyclists and local art enthusiasts are excited to know that Pinchflat is participating in 7 total events this summer from May to August. Stay tuned for a complete listing of events!
