As my cat, Niles, ‘helps’ me type (ha!), I am posting about 2 events that I am looking forward to this weekend… the second year of Ohio Made at Ohio Village and Easton’s Chalk the Block!

Ohio Made: Celebrating Artists Now Saturday, September 27th, 2014
10am-6pm @ Ohio Village
The second annual Ohio Made: Celebrating Artists Now Festival is unique because it provides all Ohio artists and crafters with a marketplace to sell and showcase their work. Paired with demos, installation works, and a juried exhibition, this festival celebrates both local and statewide artists This year the fest is sponsored by the Ohio Art League, Ohio History Connection, Columbus Idea Foundry, the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, and Art and Artists of 614.-2 +
There will also be a celebration of two veterans in the arts community:Barbara Vogel and Kojo Kamau at 4 p.m. at an awards ceremony.
Chalk the Block

Chalk the Block is a recurring event that features temporary artist creations and live music and is an event managed by littleINDUSTRIES in association with Easton Town Center. Come see these talented artists as they use their chalk to create phenomenal art on the sidewalk!
Chalk the Block is back for its third year at Easton Town Center!
Chalk the Block is a two-day event featuring artists decorating the square at Easton Town Center with unique and colorful temporary artworks.Saturday, Shoppers are invited to wander the square to view over 40 artists work and listen to music from a half dozen live bands. Sunday, the audience is invited back to see the finished products and see who was awarded.

Cassandra and Lindsay Blusiewicz
On September 28 from 1-4pm the Fuse Factory will be hosting theirr first ever open house. Come meet them, learn about what they’ve been up to and what they’ll be doing for their upcoming 2014-2015 season.There will also be some visuals and some hands-on activities with contact microphones and DIY circuit blocks.
