I got back from Florida just in time for a bunch of fun art happenings!  There are tons of things going on for the next few weeks but let’s focus just on this weekend, OK?

The 5th annual Columbus Food Truck Festival will be held Friday August 14th, Saturday August 15th & Sunday August 16th! Friday and Saturday will be at the Columbus Commons and “New this year:added a Sunday event from 12 pm to 6 pm at the parking lot adjacent to Columbus Commons at the corner of Third and Rich streets for those of you who weren’t able to make it to the park on Friday and Saturday.”. The Columbus Food Truck Festival is a three-day event featuring over 70 of the best food trucks in Ohio, music, arts & crafts, kids’ activities and family fun for all ages.The foodie feast begins Friday, August 15th at 12 pm and continues through the evening of Sunday, August 16th with great food live music and special events.

Whether you’re just looking for a great way to spend an afternoon, a food lover eager to taste a delicious mix of the best food trucks & carts in Ohio or a music fan looking to experience the sounds of local and national recording artists perform live, The Columbus Food Truck Festival is one event that offers something for everyone. And the organizers are proud to announce their collaboration this year with the Marines Family Support Services and Music Loves Ohio. The Columbus Food Truck Festival has donated over $22,000 to local charities over the last 4 years.

Join the Franklinton Arts District at their Urban Scrawl Gallery (480 West Rich) during Franklinton Fridays on August 14th as they feature the art of M.T Bush! The opening will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m on Friday August 14th and will be on view until Monday September 8th (by appointment).

Chris Tennant: Opening Reception

Chris Tennant takes inspiration from the city around him. The rich textures of old construction, mending, and erosion. His painting surface mimic this design, smooth new surfaces give way to fault lines of broken and torn edges. On top of these formed grounds he paints from observation.
Chris studied Fine Arts at Columbus College of Art and Design, focusing on painting and sculpture. In 2012 he was part of the Lego show at the Columbus Museum of Art, Think Outside the Brick. Currently he works in central Ohio as a studio artist and 3D designer.

Place a silent auction bid on a great selection of pet-related and other original artwork. Meet adoptable dogs who would love to be your new family member.  Proceeds go to helping dogs who come to the shelter in need of medical care.
