Halloween Continues…

Although many Halloween events took place last weekend, there are many more happening this weekend along with a call for artists and a Horror Film Fest tonight!  So, here are a few things you might enjoy!

In search of queer/trans perspective on the social happenings of the past year for inclusion in group exhibition scheduled for December 2015. If your work is politically aware and questions the heteronormative paradigm then we would love to see it. This time its PERSONAL!!!! The Hashtaggastroindygrowler by Communitypaloozaarro Fest is back and its angry. this is a charity event benefiting Faith Mission homeless shelter. 10 singers from 10 different musical projects in the area backed by a jazz septet playing arrangements of popular rock, metal, pop, country, and rap tunes in a jazz setting. the suggested donation is $4 or a new or gently used blanket and 100% of the money goes to Faith Mission.

Join us at REHAB TAVERN October 30th for the closing reception COSTUME PARTY ART SHOW!! There will be an exhibition of local art, films and more inspired by the strange and macabre work of filmmaker David Lynch! WEAR A COSTUME, any costume. But to those of you who dress as anyone (or anything) inspired by a Lynch film will be entered to win one of the costume prizes.
In addition to art by some of Columbus’ finest, we will be screening some ‘Lynchian’ short films by local filmmakers and other Lynch-themed entertainment 🙂

Do you get inspired by Pinterest but forget to carve out the time to actually make the things you love? Mark this Pinterest party on your calendar! We’ll have several craft stations set up to make several different Halloween inspired craft projects. Tis the season for “The Craft!” Costumes encouraged (but not required)! All the supplies and snacks are provided. Participants can bring a beverage of their choice, including adult beverages. You just show up and craft!
