Creative Babes Happy Hour at Notes

Come out for some low-key babe hangs! This time they’ll be sipping on cocktails at Notes, the rad underground music lounge beneath Copious. They’ll have the place to themselves before the live music starts. This will be a great time to connect with some new babes and toast to being alive and awesome. AND Notes has generously offered to give complimentary tickets to their 8 pm music performance for anyone who wants to stick around for some tunes!

Columbus College of Art & Design is proud to present Before Next There is Now: 2017 New Projects MFA Thesis Exhibition, featuring the college’s Master of Fine Arts 2017 graduating class. Works in the exhibition range from installation, video, social practice, design, animation, and photography to fashion design, illustration, painting, and digital media.
The opening reception for the MFA Thesis Show will be held Friday, April 7, at 6:30 p.m. in Beeler Gallery. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
CCAD’s MFA in Visual Arts: New Projects is a project-based, non-media-specific curriculum that focuses on individual artistic/design growth and creative leadership. It brings together talented individuals from a variety of different media to build a community that fosters exploration, professionalism, and creative success.

Ohio Made Market Spring Fling

Saturday 9 am. – 2 pm.

ohio madeOn Saturday, April 8th from 9AM to 2PM, join 68 of the best handmade vendors in Ohio at the Creekside Convention and Event Center in Gahanna, Ohio. This is the perfect day to shop locally for any Easter or Mother’s Day needs. We aim to have gifts for every member of the family, even the furry ones.

The event will feature up to six LARGE raffle basket giveaways. Each participating vendor will be donating an item valued between $15-$20. Each basket will have up to TEN items in it that will go home with six lucky winners. There are multiple ways to enter, such as buying tickets at the door, or by “liking,” commenting on” and “sharing” our posts on Facebook.
For the Spring Fling, the ZOE organization has been selected to be the recipient of funds generated by the raffle. Their goal is to help children so they never need help again, by empowering them with training and resources to become self-reliant.

This Inspired That: Open Door Studio

This Inspired That is a collaborative exhibition featuring artists and staff from Open Door and specially invited guest artists from the Columbus area. Each staff and guest artist selected a work made by a studio artist that inspired them. They then used that spark of inspiration to create a companion piece of art. The pairs are displayed side-by-side in this engaging exhibition.

Moonlight Market Begins!

The Moonlight Market is a monthly outdoor street festival / marketplace on Gay Street in Downtown Columbus. It takes place every Second Saturday from April through October. The event draws thousands of visitors each month to enjoy the brick-and-mortar businesses in the area who stay open late with extended hours and special promotions, in addition to over 100 sidewalk vendors who pop-up to sell a wide variety of artisan products. Street musicians add musical ambiance and sidewalk patios come alive with al fresco diners. Mark your calendar for the next Moonlight Market on Gay Street!
