Wednesday August 24th

5:30-8 p.m.

art on tap

The Wild Goose Creative Annual Membership Drive is underway and this year we’re amping it up.

They’re having a little party for their supporters – members and anyone else interested in learning more about what they do. Join them at Rambling House on Wednesday, August 24th from 5:30 pm to 8 pm, with music starting at 6:30 pm.

Rambling House will be tapping several beers from Commonhouse Ales for the event. It’s a new local brand from an old local hand. Owner Lenny Kolada, also owner of the Smokehouse Brewing Co., started Commonhouse Ales and is working to become a B-Corporation, one of the first breweries to seek the designation, which would direct a portion of sales toward local nonprofit causes.

Connect with other Wild Goose members, find out more about Wild Goose membership and grab a beer from Common House Ales or a soda from Rambling House Soda. WG has a surprise or two up their sleeves that you don’t want to miss.
Bring your friends!

And join me and other artisans next Saturday for …

AND a call for artists…

Open Call for Artists- The Seance

The Vanderelli Room

seance

Do you have an interest in the supernatural? Have you ever wanted to attend a live séance? How about having your artwork displayed at one?

On October 31st, and November 1st, there will be live séances held at The Vanderelli Room. These events will be hosted by Tiffany Boggins and Alicia Jean Vanderelli. During these events we would like to fill the gallery with original artwork paying homage to the supernatural, magic and mysticism from the period of the early 1900’s. This includes spiritualism, mediums, magicians, and of course, The Great Houdini.

We are now accepting submissions from artists who would like to have their work considered to be included in the show.

The actual séances will be closed to only those who purchase tickets to attend the performances. A public artist reception will be held directly before the November 1st show during which anyone can come and enjoy the art.

Because we are working on creating a very specific atmosphere that will be in keeping with this theme, there is a palette guideline for submissions. It is preferred that all artwork be black and white, sepia, or muted colors. Our aim to transform the gallery into the somber parlor of a spiritualist, or medium, and the artwork must fit into the decor and ambience of the experience.

There will be no hanging fee for this show. The gallery will receive 30% of any artwork sold. You may submit up to 4 pieces to be reviewed for submission. To confirm that you wish to be a part of this magic filled event and to reserve your space, we will need your email address for the contact purposes of Ms. Alicia Jean Vanderelli of The Vanderelli Room.

You can email submissions and artist info to:
TheSeance1031@gmail.com

Important dates to remember:
October 1st. – Image Submission Deadline – and this can be just a progress pic.
Drop Off Dates:
October 29th, Noon-5pm
October 30th, 3:30-7:30

Séance Performances (tickets required):
October 31st, 11pm-Midnight
November 1st, 11pm-Midnight

Artist Reception – Open to the public:
November 1st 8pm-10:30pm

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Tiffany Boggins
Alicia Jean Vanderelli
